Board Certified Audiologist

“I grew up here in New England and was raised by my grandmother. When she started to experience hearing loss, it changed her outgoing personality until eventually she was diagnosed with hearing loss and decided to get hearing aids. I was so thankful for her to be able to connect with all of us again that I decided I wanted to help other people and their families and friends that are going through the same thing. Even though Gram is no longer with us, I can honor her by paying it forward, which has been one of the most rewarding things I have done in my life and I have had the pleasure of doing so since 2003.”
Dr. Woods is an Audiologist, Board Certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association and licensed by the State of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

“I started out working with our patients in an administrative role in 2014. I realized the rewards of helping people hear better, so I decided to go back to school and to train with Dr. Woods to become a Hearing Instrument Specialist. I was a Boy Scout in my teen years and always enjoyed the service aspect of scouting. This really has brought me back to serving the community in a way that is meaningful. I look forward to seeing our patients every day.”

Alyssa Collins
Office Manager, Practice Growth & Development
“I joined Dr. Woods Hearing Center in 2023 as a Patient Care Coordinator and have since grown into the role of Office Manager—an evolution that reflects my passion for patient-centered care and operational excellence. With a strong foundation in patient relations, I take pride in making every individual who walks through our doors feel heard, respected, and supported.
My background in patient care and management has taught me how to navigate a wide range of personalities with calm and compassion. Whether assisting with appointments, guiding someone through their hearing care journey, or resolving concerns, I approach each interaction with patience and empathy. I believe that a well-organized, welcoming office sets the tone for a great healthcare experience—and I’m proud to play a key role in creating that environment.
Creativity is at the heart of how I work. I enjoy coming up with new ideas to streamline processes, boost team morale, and improve how we serve our patients. I’m highly organized and thrive on turning big-picture ideas into practical, stress-free action plans. Multitasking and problem-solving come naturally to me, and I strive to keep things running smoothly so our audiology team can focus on delivering the highest level of care.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mom and bring the same sense of balance, care, and resourcefulness to both my home and professional life.”

Patient Care Coordinator
“I’ve always loved connecting with people. Before joining the team as a Patient Care Coordinator, I spent over 20 years as a hairdresser, and while I loved the creativity, my favorite part was always the conversations and relationships I built along the way. There’s something special about really getting to know people—listening to their stories, sharing a laugh, and being part of their journey. Now, in my role here, I get to do the same thing in a different way. I love welcoming patients, making them feel comfortable, and building those relationships over time. It’s more than just scheduling appointments or checking people in—it’s about creating a space where people feel seen, heard, and cared for. Being part of a team that truly makes a difference in people’s lives is incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful to be here every day.”

“I’ve spent my entire career working closely with people—listening, connecting, and adapting to different personalities to provide the best care and service possible. That passion continues today in my role as a patient care coordinator for Dr. Wood’s office, where I’m able to support others through meaningful and personalized care. I have also been in the beauty industry for over 30 years as a dedicated hairdresser. What began as a childhood interest evolved into a deeply rewarding path that has shaped who I am today. I am known for my attention to detail, creative flair, and the strong relationships I build with people. I bring heart, empathy, and genuine care to every person I come in contact with, and my goal is always to help people feel their very best.
I have found such joy and purpose in helping patients with their hearing health journey. Being able to support others in improving their quality of life in such a meaningful way has added a beautiful new dimension to my work. Helping people—whether it’s through beauty, wellness, or simply being there to support—is what truly lights me up.
Outside of the workplace, I am a devoted animal lover. I share my home with two golden retrievers who bring me endless joy. I also love spending time outdoors—nature is where I recharge, and reflects the nurturing, down-to-earth part of who I am.”

How We Give Back to Our Community
The team at Dr. Woods Hearing Center regularly volunteers their time by visiting local senior and community centers to educate residents about balance disorders and hearing challenges. We host events at senior centers and also have a self-serving hearing kiosk that we place at senior centers, allowing residents to take a self-administered hearing evaluation at their leisure.
We are a proud supporter of the LIONS Sight & Hearing Foundation of New Hampshire.
